Cakes

Its hard to for me to imagine anything I would prefer to have than cake. I haven't put up anything that obvious on here although I'm sure I will eventually have to put up Dolly's Victoria Sponge recipe which has won the coverted Vitrix Ladorum trophy at her local W.I for about the last 30 years! Plenty of good stuff on here though, and certainly a section that I'm sure I will expand more and more. The chocolate chip muffins are definately one you can whip up in a hurry - actually these days I only measure the ingredients, sift the flour and bung it all in a food mixer. They are really light and fluffy. Equally my Granny's lemon cake is something I used to crave like mad when I was at university and is just perfect with a cup of tea. Baking cakes is literally one of my favourite pastimes so please enjoy trying some of these out!
